Donate to Cerebral Palsy of Westchester

Cerebral Palsy of Westchester, has established a unique partnership with the Mid-Westchester Elks to offer students in the CPW school program an opportunity to participate in Boy Scouts. The Boy Scouts of America was founded in 1910 and has always provided opportunities for individuals with disabilities. The adaptive Boy Scout Troop 535 at Cerebral Palsy of Westchester, currently has 12 members and meets twice a month. This adaptive Boy Scout Troop participates in all typical Boy Scout activities. Troop 535 is working their way through the various levels of scouting while also participating in community service outings, fundraising for various charities, and completing required material for several merit badges.

This program is completely funded by The Mid-Westchester Elks Lodge #535. Membership, uniforms, badges, and all other necessary supplies are funded through their generosity.

The Boy Scout Troop enjoys working together, building relationships, and providing service to their community. This adaptive Boy Scout program, has scouts ages 5-16. Due to the vast age differences, older group members serve as role models and display excellent leadership skills by helping their fellow scout members with various skills and tasks.
